Superette is the hippest of the hip over in New Zealand. With four retail locations and a huge online store, they are pretty cool on other side of the globe. Superette’s brands range from American Apparel and Wildfox to Stolen Girlfriend’s Club, Sass and Bide, and Alice McCall. Plus they have tons of adorable gifts and books and hip fun gifty stuff.

But why we are talking about Superette has nothing to do with any of those things. It has to do with the photo pictured above. It’s still sort of summer over in New Zealand. And in a brilliant slash hilarious marketing campaign, Superette created stamp-like impressions for bus and other public benches that read ‘Short Shorts on Sale at Superette.’ Well like a good stamp it says that backwards. So girls in mini skirts and shorts sit on the bench for a periods of time and once they stand up, voila. The backs of their thighs are imprinted with ‘Short Shorts on Sale at Superette.’ And innocent leg bearing humans suddenly become walking ads for Superette and their selection of hip adorable shorts. They claim the imprints can last up to an hour. I love this. Facebook and twitter are getting old. Now this is marketing I can appreciate.
